The recombinant European N protein HRPO conjugated will bind to the antibodies present in the sample if the serum is positive. This binding is detected by adding a specific substrate.APPLICATIONDue to its characteristics of sensitivity and precocity, the assay can be a useful tool to control the serological status of new animals and to monitor negative herds. Moreover, the assay is able to detect late humoral responses. The kit has been developed using the European PRRSV N protein as antigen. Nevertheless, due to the homology existing between both kinds of strains, the kit must not be used to differentiate between American and European strains.e.
